I have some questions about Yosemite.

1- What is the difference between dev version and public beta ? I read that the dev release have more frequent updates than the public beta. Is that right ?

2- Does a dev version weights more (like more debug code and logs) than the public beta ? Or exactly the same ?

3- What happended to both versions when final release will be out. Can I just update to stable version or need to reinstall ?

4- If I installed OSX server beta, what will happen when final release is out ? Because this one is not free I was wondering how it will work.

    Thanks !

DPs are better and update faster than public betas, it's a benefit for paid developers, apple takes those guys seriously.

beta sucks and it has a very slow upgrade frequency, the only good side is you can upgrade to official release straight away and you don have to have a dev ID.

    1. The dev version is for developers (who have a paid developer ID), and thus is more frequent. Apple offered the public beta because they wanted to get more feedback on Yosemite.
    2. Only Apple knows.
    3. You can update to the final public release.
