I tried to search for this but not sure if I was using the right terminology.

So when I setup my mac, I was really excited to get in hooked up to the tv...I just kept pressing continue....

-I got to the part where it asks to name your home computer/icon....as I press continue I catch a glimpse of this cannont be changed...and I didn't see a back arrow, so like a total noob I just turned off the power....

Turn back on boots right up but no more setup screen, so two questions did I miss out on some setup options? Also how do I change the name? Do I have to flatline and start from scratch, which is fine since I just got it yesterday.

Other things, I accidentaly dragged the hard disk icon to the trash, and it went poof where is it?

Is there a simple way to delete duplicates/triplicates from itunes? What folder should I drop my music into that I'm bringing over from a pc.

Thanks in advance!

You can change the name of the computer in System Preferences > Sharing.
To change the name of your account (but not the Home Folder) go to System Preferences > Accounts.

To get back your Macintosh HD icon on the Desktop go to Finder > Preferences > General and select what item do you want to be shown on the Desktop.
To get it back into the Finder's Sidebar, move the hierarchy up via CMD+UpArrow and from there drag the Macintosh HD into your Sidebar or go to Finder > Preferences > Sidebar.

Also have a look at the following links, as the information presented there might be helpful in your future endeavours into Mac OS X and could clear up initial confusion and may even prevent harm to your system or your files.

And in regards to your PM, yes you can change the home folder name by reinstalling everything.

If you use MRoogle, you might find another way though.
