I only signed up for the trial today after making 100% sure I'd got all my songs backed up to an external drive just in case any went walkabouts after signing up. Having randomly browsed the service I've noticed that on some albums not all songs are available to stream.
For example: the last three tracks on 1989 and the first two on Retrospectacle: The Supertramp Anthology. There's probably more but these are the ones I've stumbled on so far.
Now, all of these tracks are available to buy in the iTunes Store but not available for streaming. My first thought was they were "album only" tracks in the store. This is true of the ones on 1989 but not the Supertramp ones. Anyone any idea why some tracks would be unavailable like this for no apparent reason? If it's licensing and the artist/label has chosen to not make them available then that's fine but I wouldn't mind a popup if I try to play one saying something like "Sorry, but this track is not available in Apple Music. It is however available to buy in the iTunes Store" rather than neither iOS or iTunes doing anything at all if you try to play them. It's like we're just left to guess why these apps behave a certain way.
