Ok i just want to make triple sure that this ram will indeed work in my imac 20" 2.0 (late 07 model) which uses ddr2 pc5300 667 200 pin ram.

The only thing that is striking me odd is that this is the only ram on neweggs site that seems to be compatible with an iMac that doesn't actually show up under their Apple > Mac Memory category

It is 100% compatible. That is also the best price around I've seen for the PC2-5300 RAM. I've been recommending it to others since the price dropped in the past week. I have the same iMac and I paid near $100 when I got the RAM 1.5 years ago.

hmm that's what i thought. i was just a little confused because it appears that is the only ram kit newegg sells that is compatible with a imac that is not under the apple tab.

    Thanks for confirming

All of those are compatible with the iMac and all of the Apple notebooks (MBP/MB) except the latest models of notebooks and iMac.
