Hi all,

When changing the battery a plastic part fell out of my Macbook Air. (2012)

I have studied pictures of the mainboard online, but I can't identify the object? Can anybody id it for me? Or is it perhaps a foreign object that have come in through the venting ducts?

It's about a centimeter long.

Cheers Peter

I have opened several Macbook air models and have never seen any plastic parts inside that look anything like the picture. All of the plastic parts I have seen are black and these parts were part of the black vents and clutch cover.

The object looked kind grey on my screen. If the Macbook is working properly, you're probably okay to use it.
