So I had a long car drive to a business function with three people I didn't know all too well. Our conversation led to computers and I of course began to talk about my MBP. It's strange how people are loyal to PC's without any reasons. I asked for just one specific reason why they felt windows was superior and their half-baked answer was "mac's can't run the same programs that windows do." "So you think apple's suck because you think they can't run the same software?" I went on to explain that even Bill Gates said when Tiger was released that it was the most advanced operating system. I told them how all the programs on a mac are linked and integrate with each other to make things simple and easy. I told them how I also use photoshop, office and explained how there's even boot camp. I then told them how on a pc my girlfriend could merely check her email, but since I bought her a MB she has cut her own demo reel, made a site with iweb and recorded songs on garage band. I then went one further and pulled my gleaming MBP out of the bag between my legs. Why not let the MBP do the talking! I was riding shotgun and the two in the back and the driver (eyes on the road!) were simply stunned when I was showing them the dashboard, expose, front row and my built in isight. At their peak of wonder and salivation I folded up my MBP and slid her back in the case. There was a few minutes of silence as they let it all sink in. It's not everyday that you see the light. Eventually the quiet was broken when one of the guys in the back seat pulled out a bag of a Dorito's and said, "do you want any crisps?" I glanced at him and his bag of artifical flavored crap and leaned back into my bag, pulled out a granny smith and said, "No thanks, I have an apple."
