Hi all,
I just purchased a Sonnet Encore/ST 1.8GHz to upgrade my ever slowing Quicksilver. The thing would not boot after following instructions, updating firmware, reinstalling checking conections etc. After reading up on common problems I decided to cover the connector in thermal paste 😱 thinking this would help to connect the processor to the board. I need to clean this out!!!
I know to use alcohol but there is alot of it and I need to get it all out.
Any suggestions??
This stuff is also on my mother board connector. I've reinstalled my daughter card and everything works fine even though there's thermal paste in between the processor and motherboard connector.
Its starting to look like this is going to be a very COSTLY mistake and a very stupid one!!!! 🙁 😡
