Can i use my mac pro to play music through my macbook via wireless? for example

I have an apple tv... a mac pro and a macbook pro.
I wish to play all the music from my macpro upstairs through apple Tv ( i have that working) and through a macbook pro hooked to a PA outside ....

I am aware that i need to score airport express but dont have funds ATM.

will the macbook pro accept a stream from another mac?

Well you could just use shared libraries. Open iTunes on both computers, and if they’re on the same network, your Mac Pro’s iTunes library should show up on the MBP, and you can play it from there. If you want to control it from the Mac Pro, and you don’t have an iPhone or iPod touch, your best bet is to use screen sharing, so you’ll be on the Mac Pro, controlling the MBP’s screen, which is playing music shared from the Mac Pro.
