ok i just downloaded songbird, ive never used it before, but i thought id try it out because my itunes was starting to get a bit sluggish with 140gb of music on my mbp wtih 2.53ghz and 4gb of ram, and i liked all the expandibilty and options that songbird has. I had heard that songbird should be able to handle large libraries with better performance, but now in song bird it is incredibly sluggish to do even the most simple things like clicking on and selecting a song. Itunes was slow enough, but songbird just took it to a whole other level Only thing that i can think of is that i think my songbird and itunes are running off the same library. like i said i have 140gb music in itunes, but i only have 40gb of freespace left and had that before songbird, so i know when i imported my itunes library it didnt copy it into a songbird library.

so what do you think it could be? are you not able to run itunes and songbird off the same library or would it be something else?
