    Tried putting a new CD onto my IPOD via the computer but the tracks went on individually instead of going on as the album. Any ideas why

    ^ Not helpful.

    Often it does that because they're collaborations; so iTunes mistakenly thinks each track is a different artist. As to correcting this, I'm not too sure sadly. When it happened to me I just ended up leaving the individual songs alone.

    Make sure you set an album artist. If it's a cd where a bunch of artists came together, use "Various Artists". If it's a cd that was mixed by a certain artist, put their name (a lot of mine are "Above & Beyond"). You will notice that setting this will fix the way the album looks in "art" view. Another way is to make sure you go to the advanced options and click yes on "Part of a Compilation", if the cd happens to be mixed by two artists.

    This is what it looks like when you don't have an album artist set for the cd;
