Songs won't advance . . .

Hi, just like the title says - songs won't advance, they just loop.

So far, I have:

Rebooted - no effect

Synched - no effect

Restored - no effect (just finished; wow that takes forever)

If anybody has any ideas, I'm open; did a google search, which is where the restore came from.

Oh - it's an iphone 4S, latest software; never jailbroken or misused.

I'll ask the obvious, since your otherwise exhaustive list didn't include it:

Did you check to see if you've inadvertently selected "single song loop"? Look under the scrubber bar on the left side during playback (you may have to tap the screen once to get the scrubber to appear). The little loop icon has 3 states: no looping (white), album loop (blue), song loop (blue with a little "1").

+1. I did this last week and about threw my phone down Michigan Ave., then realized I'm a moron and had it on repeat...
