Ok my apologies, apparantly I cannot see that part of the forums ?
You have to have a certain amount of posts before being allowed to view and post in the marketplace.

If you post something for sale anywhere else other than the marketplace the mods will delete it and give you a warning.

The idea is to cut down on spam.

Are you saying that as a relatively new comer you can't even view the Marketplace forum?
I can understand the post ban for new comers, but to not have viewing access is a little much, after all there is a very good chance that new comers the the world of Macs, both PPC and Intel might very likely be interested in purchasing equipment.
Please, someone tell me I'm wrong here!

Your not wrong. I recall posting a message about trading OS X DVDs right after joining and got a warning for doing it outside of the marketplace. Of course I couldn't see it, so how the hell was I to even know it existed?

That feels better :D

I also got a warning after offering up free equipment to anyone interested.
It just seemed natural to me, someone posted they needed a part, can't recall now what it was, main board or power supply for a MDD.
I had the part, so in a normal forum reply offered it to them free, and quickly received the terse warning.
