Am I right in thinking that this..

will mean we can connect anything up to a mac via PCI? i.e. graphics cards/satellite cards and get them to work along with it?

Yes as long as it's PCIe and doesn't require more power than is available from the chassis. However for it to work under OSX the card would need OSX drivers.
