I installed Monterey on an external Thunderbolt Acasis TBU401E and it boots well. However, this isn't the case with Sonoma RC. It takes 3 minutes to boot. And there is sometimes erratic mouse behaviour afterwards. No problems with Sonoma on a Samsung T7 boot disk however.
If you want to use an Acasis (with Samsung 980 Pro) as boot drive, beware. 🤔

I confirm that there are no boot problems on my Samsung T7 with Sonoma. Perhaps the issue only occurs on thunderbolt drives.

I found a way to avoid the slow startup with the Acasis thunderbolt as boot drive with Sonoma.
Keep pressing the power button at startup until the startup disks and options appear.
Select the Sonoma OS disk. Startup time is now approx. 30 seconds. :)
