Hi All,

Just installed the public beta and first impressions are good. I have set the Sonoma aerial screensaver as my Lock Screen which looks amazing. However when I lock my Mac Studio the Studio Display turns itself off just seconds later.

I would like the Lock Screen to remain active displaying the aerial screensaver rather than going off. Is this possible?

It's a Beta! There's a warning posted about installing the beta

These builds have not been tested, are not guaranteed to work, and are not guaranteed to be safe. Do not use nightlies without a good reason to do so, and do not use them on your main machine. Additionally, these binaries should not be used without first consulting the CHANGELOG.

    • Additionally, do not reupload these binaries or download binaries from other sites. Using binaries from untrusted sources is a security issue, as they may have been tampered with.
  • Users running new builds of the project without understanding what has changed and the implications of installing software under active development are at a higher risk of bricking their installation as they do not read any warnings provided in the CHANGELOG. What on earth are you talking about?

From my experience, if you go to Screen Saver settings and check that the aerial screensaver is matched to your desktop wallpaper, then the animated wallpaper will show as your screensaver and the display won't turn off until you say so (you can set this in the Lock Screen settings)

If you want to manually activate the aerial screensaver you can set 'Start Screensaver' as a hot corner (in Desktop & Dock settings), and if you wish you can also set it to require a password as soon as the screensaver activates so that it in effect acts as an extension to your lock screen.

Thanks, this essentially does what I want. It serves no purpose I just think it looks classy, rather than a blank screen. Love the Sonoma aerial, really nice.

I am having this same issue!

Does this fix the issue?
