Sonoma pause after login

Recently my Mac Studio M1 has begun sitting there after startup and login with the bar not moving for about 5 - 10 seconds. Weird thing is it never used to do this.

I'm going with the theory that it may be a software install but I've looked and looked and checked login items etc and nothing particularly new stands out.

Just wondered if anyone had any ideas on this one.

Disconnect any external storage devices and see if the 5-10 sec “pause” goes away.

Hi @Bigwaff. Indeed you're correct! I guess it's either the Lacie 2Big or the Samsung T7 causing it. Probably the Lacie as it's a slower storage drive. Guess it is what it is. Thanks alot.
