One highlight of the event is the Sonos Arc Ultra Soundbar at $899, down from $1,099, which matches the all-time low price we saw over last holiday season. For a cheaper soundbar, you can get the second generation Beam for $369, down from $499.

Additionally, the new Sonos sale has a few bundle deals, which combine a few different home audio devices at one discounted price. This includes the 2 Room Set with Era 100 for $358 ($80 off), Premium Entertainment Set with Arc Ultra for $1,599 ($399 off), and more.

I can't wait for the Super Bowl to be broadcast (doesn't even have to be live) in immersive format for the AVP! I'm also looking forward to the NBA tabletop feature to come to the NFL and golf... 🤞🤞

I'm not at a point where I can invest in SONOS any longer. I have 15+ devices, but while there WERE amazing... they no longer are. I can't keep them synced, can no longer pay across bluetooth from my turntable (worked one day, stopped working after update), and their horrible implementation of STP is problematic on my network. This is so sad, because the sound quality and capabilities of each individual speaker is pretty amazing... but their developers/leadership just ruined the ecosystem completely.

Same here. I have invested in 8 devices over 10+ years but ever since they overhauled their app, it's been a mess. Was hoping for Apple to fill the void but i don't think they're there yet.

The comment "The Sonos app ruined everything and nothing works!" is the modern "I stopped watching SNL in '77 when it stopped being funny!" Yes, the app has had some issues in the past but it's been solid for a year now with devices bought in the past ten years.

Just because it has worked for you doesn't mean the same for everyone else! Mine mostly work but I still continue have issue local media playback and one of my Move speakers. If you check out the Sonos Community forum you'll see there is still a lot of issues.

I still have issues -- one speaker in particular doesn't work with the others correctly.

I appreciate that Sonos is getting better, but at this point, I'm not ready to trust in their long-term reliability/stability. However, if someone wanted a single standalone speaker, it's not a bad option. In fact, many people will rarely use the Sonos app and just use their iPhone/Android to play the music. It's the systems with multiple speakers that sometimes don't work well.

i have a basic sonos setup and other than a few months a year or so ago, they are working great now.

On a related note:

I set up two Alexa Echo in the BR for theatre experience on Firestick and quite impressed.

Can we normalize physical remotes for music playback ? I miss having a physical remote that can do volume *and* skipping tracks, not one or the other. For example, with Amazon echo, one can pair a spare firetv remote as a Bluetooth "Alexa widget" in the app and it functions well to control volume and play/pause, but no ability to skip tracks. So now they have the “Amazon Basics Smart Dimmer Switch and Remote for Music and Routines”. It's got four programmable buttons. But unlike the spare firetv remote, it lacks a huge ecosystem of third party cases and covers. It's slippery and could take a fall onto a hard floor, so it would make more sense to just make a version in the same shape as the firetv remote, including with dedicated volume and track control buttons.

Wish apple would make the/a siri remote available for use with homepod / homepod mini etc for basic volume / track control without having to do voice controls all the time. It's better for sleep that way, just having a small remote to control those things than to constantly have to yell out and wake yourself up.

I used to have a pair of Sonos Play 1, then bought the Beam later on. Since the launch of original HomePod, I moved on and eventually got rid of all my Sonos speakers especially we gonna sell the house. Three months ago, we moved and the previous 'first hand' owner left majority of their entertainment setup including the Sonos Arc via optical.

Although it's only one Sonos device to a TV, the current app is indeed not as good as before (v1). I cannot imagine if I introduce any satellite speaker unit or a sub.
