There’s a review of the Sony M9 here PC Gamer. OK, it is from the viewpoint of a PC and console gamer but does include some details that you won’t find on the spec sheet, such as having 96 local dimming zones.
Is FALD superior to OLED/QLED? Will there be no burn-in issues if used as a PC monitor for many many years? That's one of the biggest concerns that I've had with the pretty high-end monitors.
FALD is not superior to OLED in terms of contrast. OLED risks burn-in though.
OLED and QLED are vastly different technologies so, it's weird to categorize them together as "OLED/QLED" like in your post.
QLED can be FALD. FALD can be QLED. In fact, I believe most QLED are FALD. They are not mutually exclusive, because the terms are describing completely different features.

for about $200 more. It is called the GP27-FUS from CoolerMaster.
What do you think about this? It is also 27" and 144hz with a Matte screen finish (unsure about Sony's INZONE M9). It is scheduled for a Sept. release according to a CM employee on the monitor's Amazon store page.
I am really in need of a new monitor and these two monitors sound very interesting..
@SnackyD, Honestly I have no idea how good or bad these monitors are. It's just that the Sonys are better on paper than the Samsung M8, and like the M8 it doesn't look like total crap aesthetically, which is why I posted it. I would prefer to check them out in person though.
