Hello,

I want to buy a Sony DRX-500UL DVD recorder. Does anyone know if it works on Mac ?

Thanx ;)

just figure out what software you want to use to burn with, Toast being the popular choice, check the website. I imagine it works. Might have some issues in the finder and itunes, but even then nothing you can't work around.

Is this the same drive that is used in a few of the new iMacs, if so it should have DiscBurner compatibility.

Yes it is !

Well it seems that many people use it and only iDVD doesn't work. I've read that DVD Studio pro should work. Someone tested it ?

Thanks everybody ;)

Well no because the DRV 500 is the external version ... iDVD only works with internal recorders.
