I was thinking of buying that camcorder, but then I decided that its been out for a while, so a pricedrop/newer model is likely.

True. Any moment now, Sony should be coming out with a revised model. This model has been introduced since 2004 🙄 and I've played with it in limited fashion since 2003! 😱
