Sony HXR-NX70U and FCPX

    Any one have any experience with this camcorder using FCPX. It records in AVCHD which is the biggest theoretical detriment. Any advice for a similar but better camera?

    I don't see why it wouldn't work. However, I'd look into the similar priced JVC HM150 or the a bit more expensive Canon XF100 (my weapon of choice). Both offer a better codec than the Sony and work flawlessly in FCP X.

    Thanks. Just a curious question: Canon's MXF ingest plugin for FCPX just came out 5 weeks ago. What were you doing before that?

    I used XfcpX.... or Adobe Media Encoder... or simply imported my stuff via FCP6.
