Some of the news media outlets were reporting during the Paris terrorist attacks that ISIS and other Terrorist groups were starting to use Playstation 4 messaging as a secure system for communicating. So yes I guess its being used.

The post is a little misleading. Your friends list is tied to your PSN, not your device (i.e. PS3 users can use this too).

But does the PS3 software support this?
