Absolutely. I switched to the training range, and it was amusing for a few minutes, but there's no way I could get a kill or solid heal on any of my mains in a real game. I could see something like Stardew Valley working pretty well for this, but that's the only one I can think of off the top of my head.This. I guess I don't play the type of games where this would be beneficial, but it seems that it's an immediate handicap unless everyone is playing the same way.
It would be great if Apple to relax their MFI requirements here a bit and allow the DualShock to work with iOS. Would be to everyone's benefit.
With that said, Sony could also find a way to make MFI controllers work. I know it has fewer buttons but in worst case add the missing buttons to the screen.
Read my double clarification! LOLYou can use a SteelSeries MFi controller for that...and I happen to have one because I love "serious" games like Oceanhorn et al on iPad too![]()
So does R-Play work well? How does it compare to the official app (besides the controller support)
Sony has officially shoot their own foot.
That was the one biggest selling feature of their phones.
I still occasionally use remote play with DualShock 4 on the Sony phone.
Have you got it yet mate? I’m in the UK and had it since this morningNot in the UK yet.....
Well since Apple has added R3/L3 buttons to MFI in iOS 12.1 your best bet is to ask SteelSeries to update the nimbus with clickable analogue sticks and buy thatOk so the time has come, what’s the best mfi controller to buy? I will use it mostly with an iPad Pro and my Apple TV for PS4. What do you recommend?
Those who know them are loyal for a number of reason.Their phones weren’t really selling to begin with though
There's a PS4 Remote Play app for the Mac, and that works by having you plug in an actual PS4 controller. It's a little laggy, but it does work.Wouldn't using an actual PS4 controller be superior to trying to use the iPhone as a controller ?
Is this another case of someone doing something to prove a concept rather than designing it for an actual need ?
OMG...I just played RDR2 on my iPad using a MiFi controller, and it was pretty awesome. The only control I can’t get to work using just my Nimbus is deadeye. I don’t see anyway to simulate L3/R3.
Can I use an MFi controller to play this? Because those virtual buttons are not okay with me. Would be amazing if the DS4 would just work natively, but I doubt we'll see that.
Just tested it with the HoriPad Ultimate - works pretty well, just gotta use the on-screen Options, Share, L/R3, and TouchPad
