Due an upgrade and really do not know which to get

the Z5 is much cheaper than the 6S plus...but not hearing good things about the Z5 such as over heating and poor screen...

But when it comes out

I can preorder from Vodafone or EE.....there are still some reviews online of the phone...

I'd wait for Btekts review. The Z3 was great and screen was pretty compareable to my iphone 6 plus so i wouldnt be worried about screen in the Z5.

My biggest concern would be overheating especially after the horrendous issues of the Z3+ and its 810 and i would wait for btekt to release its full uk review.

Bare in mind also resale value the iPhone will hold its value longer for when it comes to upgrade time again.

The 6S Plus is just soooo expensive.

There are other options out there, apart from the Z5.

Thats the problem....it is expensive....

What other options are there though? The S6 Edge battery life is abysmal and I can't deal with that.....the LG G4 is too plasticky in feel imo for me to keep for to years.....

Yeah might go for the iPhone 6S.....Can't stand phones that get really hot. My friend had the compact and he used to complain all the time about that.

Shouldnt the question be Z5 premium vs 6S plus?

Z5 premium release date not yet announced.

Yes as mentioned before, it seems like the 810 processor is not ideal.

Still the Z5 premium and the Edge Plus will be the best alternatives to 6S plus.

Do you like IOS? If so just get the 6S plus. It is still probably the best phone out there if you like its looks and the simplicity of IOS.

For Android, get the Z5 premium or Edge plus.

Nexus 6P (announced tomorrow) looks interesting but if it comes out at similar prices to what the Z5 P and Edge Plus can be bought for then just buy the Z5 P or Edge Plus.

S6 Edge Plus is the way to go, from what everyone is saying. The battery life is good, camera best in class, screen stunning and you can get it far cheaper than the iPhone 6S Plus.

Tbh that's the phone I may switch to, really like my G4 but it's certainly not one to keep for 1-2 years.

I am not really interested in the phablets except the iPhone plus because of the battery....apart from the iPhone 6s plus if i go for an android I am going for the smaller handset.

hmm on a contract is isn't even that much cheaper

for the Edge plus 32 gb..its only £81 cheaper and with the 6S plus you are getting 64gb instead of the 32gb that you get with the samsung.

No I meant on eBay etc. I think the 32gb is going for about £470 or something, and the 64gb about £530.

(That's just from memory, but those ballpark figures are still quite a lot less than the 6S Plus, right?)

I am going on contract you see....

Vodafone do it for £42 a month with £19 up front for the S6 Edge plus 32gb
£42 a month for the iPhone 6S Plus 64GB with £99.99 up front ...so not much difference and you get twice the storage on the iPhone...

Ah OK.

I've got such a good SIM-free deal with Three that I buy my phones outright now, works quite well for me.

Those are some pretty different phones in size, if you're not used to giant phones you may not like the 6S Plus, I am returning a Note 5 as I find it too big and that's smaller then the 6S Plus.

I have had a play with the dummy models of the Z5 Compact and Z5 today. Very nice sizes and the Z5 is a nice premium device, the only downside is where the volume key is placed but I think you can get over that.
The screen is said to be pretty good, a review I've seen just said it should be a higher resolution, falling into the 2K screen trend trap, and they said the battery life wasn't as good as Sony claimed.

Iam thinking of the Z5 or the Z5 Compact. I can just about manage one handed use with my current Nexus 5. Both devices offer great features and power. So long as they don't melt down.
