"No escape from Reality...”
Looks like no real support for PSVR in PS5. :(

(you need to run the PSVR game in PS4 Backward Compat mode on a PS5). (have the PS4 version of the game in your console...)

Well this answers my major question regarding PSVR on PS5.

Looks like getting an XBox Series X will be my priority for while..

Isn’t this how all PS4 games work?
AFAIK, PS4 games run in a "backwards compatible mode" unless the developer has updated the game to run under PS5 to take advantage of the newer architecture and features ("No Man's Sky" for example).

There's probably a growing list somewhere as people try out their PS4 games on the PS5.

Loads of PSVR-titles have received patches to make them run faster on the PS5 and I must say that I'm having a lot less motion sickness now.

And on something else: Sony has confirmed they are working on a new PSVR that will connect with one cable to the PS5 and will have completely new controllers.

Cool, thanks for the info...

PSVR was ancient,I’m actually happy they’re abandoning it.
They are making an update model.a new generation without those messy wires and with actual high quality unlike low resolution pixelated 1st gen.

The new VR set does look like a significant improvement. The original VR set amazed me in two ways: First, it's amazing how it feels so much more fluid, realistic, and usable than any VR system I had tried before (although I've never used any Oculus products). Second, it's amazing that... honestly I kinda still don't like it.

The original VR had a ridiculous mess of cables that all had to be connected exactly right, which was a huge hassle. The new one uses a single cable, which is good, but if you're going to be wearing it on your body, I would really rather not be tethered to anything at all. The original was also weighty and uncomfortable to wear, and even if they could make a wireless one someday, they would have to add even more weight for a battery.

Even setting aside the physical issues, somehow the gameplay didn't work for me either. It's really tiring to play that way and can make your neck/body sore if you're not careful, and every time I used it, I felt a short "dizziness" afterward.

Playing VR has caused me to realize that playing a game on a nice flatscreen TV actually works really well, and I'm not sure it needs to be replaced.
