Went to a store in So Cal, checked all the iPhones and all of them
had a screen way darker then 6+ (not 6s+, but 6+, 2 year old model).
Incredible, they want a grand for this. 25% brighter, sure...

The 7 and 7+ models I looked at in the Verizon and Apple stores near me looked great. I've got a 6+ and they were at the very least, just as bright.

I thought the 25% brighter pertains to when the phone is on ambient light setting and the phone will boost 25% brighter when outside when its sunny compared to the prior 6s. Thought that is what i read, but in my case I never took any of my iPhones in the past to max brightness inside, its damn near blinding lol.

I have the 6s plus and the 7 plus. And inside, yes the 6s plus gets a little brighter, however i find the color reproduction is FAR better on my 7 plus.

You're right but people assume that it's automatically going to be 25% brighter in normal situations when Apple clearly states it is only in Auto Brightness mode which means only when in situations with strong ambient light.
In fact it is this way with most phones. I remember my Galaxy S6 could only hit peak brightness in Auto Brightness as well and only when necessary.

Perfectly fine with me i always have my phone on ambient setting as it does a fine job. Usually have to really dim it when in bed however. I always notice that when outside during the day the toggle is always maxed out. So it should be 25% brighter in that case compared to the 6s. Which makes sense to me.

Just got my 7+ today, gorgeous screen, nothing compared to my note 7, but nicer than my 6s+

Hopefully the 7 dims more than the 6s Plus. I find that the lowest is still not dim enough when I'm in bed.

Agree there the note 7 screen is insane. But i feel the colors on my 7plus are WAY better then the 6s plus.

I haven't tried yet and i have my 6s boxed up for ebay. I will compare with my fiance's 6s plus phone tomm with my 7plus. But i swore there was something in the ios10 beta that allowed that. In any even i tried night shift last night & it was ok. But i agree my 6s in a dark room was still bright even on the lowest setting.

There is a white point reduction setting in Accessibility but I'm not sure if it deals with brightness in general or just brighter colours.

Anyone know whats up with the increase contrast tab, the the darken colors toggle. It really makes them vibrant, probably totally over blow them though lol.
