They are probably still trying to figure out the pricing plan.

I noticed on my account for my iPhone it says 200 iPhone text plan. Right below it is says "op out mms". This means MMS is extra and not part of the 200 text plan. My wife's phone (non iPhone) also has the 200 text plan and hers says 200 text and multi-media messages.

Figures they are sticking it to iPhone users. I'm not paying extra for MMS.

They have that option for all phones though.

This just in AT&T charging $0.99/min for all calls over 5 minutes regardless of the minute plan and $0.99/Mb data over 3 Mb a month, regardless of the unlimited plan.;)

Good, it's a nice change seeing the US market having to wait for something from Apple.

Geez a little bitter at seeing an American company produce American products arriving in America first?

Personally it doesn't bother me that MMS isn't arriving sooner but I don't (or won't) gloat at some people having to wait just because they're from a certain country - kind of petty.

Does that mean that 3.0 will be available today or "earlier this summer"?

Because people were using MMS with the 3.0 betas is why they put the opt-out for MMS on all iPhone accounts.

I'd be shocked if they charged extra for MMS.

What a shock, AT&T holding up the MMS! I hope this kills their relationship with Apple and Verizon gets the iPhone. Heck, I'll even settle for sprint.

ok why is everyone bitching! june 17 it gets released! so we have to wait til end of july early august for the mms to work! at least it will work! and we have been without it for so long! whats 2 more months! at least 3.0 comes out soon!

Uh, gee maybe because third world carriers support it before they do?

Get some common sense.

Get a grip.

iPhone 3.0 and iPhone 3Gs (really? THAT is the name they settled on?) won't be available until "later this summer".

AT&T won't support MMS until "later this summer".

A+B = MMS will be supported when the new iPhone launches, obviously.

actually new phone is released june 19th which is technically "before summer", and i also read june 17 is 3.0, smart to seperate the software and hardware releases so they dont clog the servers like 2.0. Anyways ATT delaying MMS and tethering is completely bush league, why not just announce your network blows and your not up to snuff. My guess is they are working up a price plan for MMS which is a joke since MMS is included on text plans for every other phone they offer, im not a litigious person, but that screams class action lawsuit if your only going to charge iPhone users for what everyone else gets. Bush league

The question is will at+t charge extra for MMS?

Also, I guess the rumor of at+t lowering the fee for data plan was false...

A+B = MMS will be supported when the new iPhone launches, obviously.
