iPhone SOT Never Matches Screen Time

Why doesn’t the Screen on time stats under battery usage never match Screen Time for a 24 hour period? You’d think they are tracking the same thing right? What’s going on here? Every time I look and compare a day one is higher or lower than the other. They should be the same right?! In these examples they are all only a few minutes apart but why is that? Sometimes it’s up to 15 or 20m apart. Seems buggy.

In my experience it's all incredibly buggy and shouldn't be trusted, so it's not even worth using or paying any attention to. Even the Battery stats are reproducibly incorrect for me.

For example, I've been listening to the Music app constantly for the past hour, but Battery shows 1 min of on screen + 9 min background for Music. The same happens when I use Overcast: Battery doesn't seem to count any of the time associated with audio playback. I can listen to three hours of music or podcasts and it will say I've used a total of 1 min on screen and 0 min off screen.

Yeah I can listen to podcasts for hours with the screen off in my pocket and it never reports the screen off time accurately.

However it does report screen off time accurately for Spotify when I go for runs so that’s weird how apples own baked in app doesn’t report it properly but a third party app does.

I wish they would add back the combined usage and standby times at the very least or fix the bugs with how it is now.
