The sound continues to go out on my ATV4 and I have verified I have the latest software update. Exiting the app will not restore the sound, the only resolution I have found is to reset the ATV4. Is this a common issue? Does anyone know how I can truly resolve the issue? Continually resetting the ATV4 is getting old quick.

I was having the same problem with my ATV4, resetting it would temporarily fix the problem. I found a permanent fix by rebooting my internet gateway.

It's weird we have two and only one has that issue. We restart and it resolves until the next day or so. I'm wondering if the device is defective since only one does it.
 
I was having this issue until I disabled HDMI CEC on the AppleTV, my receiver and my television.
