With latest beta there’s an issue with device output volume control at the lowest levels. When watching a YouTube video, movie, or podcast, the volume—even at the minimum visible setting—is still very loud on iPhone or iPad speakers.

In previous versions, this was fine-tuned: you could adjust the volume to an almost silent level. Now, with this beta, there’s a big jump from silence to loud, with nothing in between.

This problem only affects the built-in speakers. When using headphones, volume adjustment works normally, and there’s plenty of headroom to make it very quiet.

Also posted in the Beta summary thread but I think it should have its own topic. I am a sucker for low volume listening and it always bothers me how they messed this one up with each release. no to mention that the visual design of the volume slider for low volume listening is not very elegant. with airpods there is still a lot of visual headroom betwen silent and low volume as you can see the bar has like 6 steps before going silent. with speakers barely one step between silent and quite loud on last step.
