Sound fades away when docked to Boston Acoustic Duo

Hi All,

I have a brand new Boston Acoustic Horizon Duo radio with a docking station for my ipod touch. It sounds phenomenal when the itouch is first plugged in but then the sound gets fuzzy and fades away in about 30 seconds, almost like the itouch is running out of battery power. If I take it out and redock it sounds great again but then fades etc... Any ideas?? The radio works fine.

I have the same problem with a newly purchased Boston Acoustic Duo-i

Is this a factory defect? I've noticed that the docking connectors and cradle get quite warm. Is that the problem? Does this clock radio need to be returned?
