Sound in Mini Display?

Hello Does the mini display port in the 11 inch MacBook Air support sound?
I read that Apple added support for audio in their MBP's on April the 13'th.
I have a MBA my self, and i want a MINI Display to HDMI for my mac, but only if i can send the audio directly through the mini display port?

Very true. Monoprice has Mini DisplayPort 1.1 adaptors. You need to find Mini DisplayPort 1.2 to HDMI cables - sorry for the bad suggestion.
