Sound is terrible

I have a 15 inch MacBook Pro, and I don't know why, but all of a sudden sound is terrible watching Netflix or doing anything.

The speaker's lows are inaudible because they are so quiet and the highs are insanely loud. This is with volume all the way up, even with it not all the way up you cannot hear the lows.

I tried plugging in my external speakers with the same results. Any advice?
