the sound "mutes" all by itself, and in system preferences it doesn't show any input or output device at all...
one time i got the sound to work again by updating itunes, but then on a restart it muted again.
anyone else had this problem?
I tried reinstalling the OS, via wireless, and it kept telling me that it (the download?) was unavailable, to try again later!! I need a ethernet>usb adapter, but I'm in a remote area, so that's going to be tricky!
