sound not playing in apps

just recently for seemingly no reason the sounds from my apps like drummer or guitarist decided they didnt want to play sound anymore. its been a little while since i jailbroke, so i dont think that messed with anything. youtube and music work fine as far as playing sound. what on earth could this be??

Try turning sound effects on in the settings menu.
