Hi,

10.7.2 here. Sound output on my headphone jack has a very wierd effect on it, almost sounding like a reverb. It also seems to apply this effect only to certain spectrum ranges.

Something seems to actively alter the sound but I wouldn't know what the heck it could be.

Sound on line out and digital out is normal.

Any ideas where I might start to look? I already checked MIDI setup and made sure the output is at 44khz 16bit, so this is not the problem.

Any ideas welcome. Thanks!
Sascha

Do you have any sound enhancing software like Joesoft Hear installed? I have, and even when turning it off a subtle reverb remained. I had to close and re-open the sound program to get rid of the reverb.

By the way, in Audio MIDI Setup, set the output format to 24bit integer or 32bit float. Otherwise you will lose resolution at very low volume settings.
