Okay, maybe I'm missing something, but the mute on the iPad Pro 9.7 doesn't work. If I turn the sound all the way down, so that there's a bar through the speaker icon, it doesn't stay. The minute an email comes in, it bings loudly, and resets. Odd...

    Is this by design?

Try: Settings > sounds > change with buttons > on
