Hi all,

I found a bunch of great tones on Zedge that downloaded to a Zedge folder on my phone. The downloads were done directly from the Zedge app on my phone, and I can access and play them 'in the folder', but I don't see them populating into the available options for use in my sound and haptics choices.

Does anyone know what step I need to take to allow those Zedge tones to be usable on my phone settings?

I see lots of different posts online, but most that reference downloads from the app suggest it should be automatic ... as I'd have expected. Not sure where I went wrong :/

Ty in advance if you can assist and cheers!

Apple ringtones are in a separate folder in the filesystem.
Going to hit google, but in case it's as convoluted as trying to figure out Zedge ... do you know offhand which folder and how to access it? I'm guessing maybe via iTunes and importing or exporting from?

It should also work with Garageband on the phone. You need to open the downloaded tone and are then able to export it as an ringtone, then it should be visible in the tone settings.

Answer for anyone like me looking to add ringtones to their iPhone, and not sure how to do it.

Short version:
- Save the downloaded files to your computer.
- Open iTunes.
- Select your iPhone, then tones, in iTunes.
- Drag and drop the files to tones.
- Done .. the tones are now available to use on your iPhone.

This is good if you don't want to add another app like garageband to your phone. I also found it pretty simple and quick. If you have trouble with drag and drop, don't know how to create usable versions of your downloads, or anything else, refer to the below link which is what I used.

Cheers.
