I'd love to purchase a Series 4 SB Stainless. However, it's quite an investment and I would want to use it with all bands. How do you feel the Space Black color pairs with leather bands that are brown?

I pair my Space Grey Aluminum with brown bands all the time and it doesn't bother me. Do you think the SB can rock a brown band?

I think its ok and I've done it. It isn't as flexible as the regular SS but it never shows a mark. We have to pick sadly.

I was thinking about switching from SS to SB but ultimately didn't because I don't think pairs with as many bands and I like to have options. Also there is something about the reflective nature of the SS that makes it not seems as bulky on the wrist. If I was willing to spend the money, I'd get both though, lol. The space black looks really slick when paired with darker bands. I'd have to see what you're talking about but I think a warmer reddish brown could look nice.

I don't see an issue with band pairing with the Space black. If the issue is that some of Apple's bands come with silver lugs, then change them to black lugs.

Tough call. SS does work with more bands and you can polish the scratches out with a cape cod cloth when needed. I've noticed the space black gets fingerprints easier and looks like the AL watch from a distance. I've always had SS but ordered both this time and will cancel 1 of them. I do kind of want something different but I may add the hermes band down the road and that looks better with the SS. I may end up flipping a coin seriously.

I've got a leather nomad band with black lugs and really like it.

I do think the silver SS is more versatile with bands but I prefer the look of the SB SS over the silver.

I actually ordered both the 44mm SSSB and the Nomad band! It was deliveried today and it looks great. I’ll post pics once I receive the Watch.

Have had SBSS
Almost Order SS series 4 for Something different
All my other non Apple watches are stainless steel
Caved and ordered another SBSS. It just blends in
With a rich dark band. Black lug bands a must.
Looks smooth rather than a tack on flashy accessorie

I bought an original Apple Watch in 2015 in Stainless - Silver. I am upgrading and I own a Link Bracelet knockoff that is quite nice and a Milanese Loop knockoff that is ok, as well as genuine Apple Leather Loop in dark Blue, a Black Sport band that it came with and a couple knockoff Nike+ bands. I debated right up until ordering last night whether to get a new Stainless, a Space Black Stainless, or a Nike+ in Space Grey.

1. Not a fan of the aluminum. I like the weight of the stainless.
2. Not a fan of the space grey. You can see it isn't black. The Space Black match the screen and looks seamless.
3. I liked the idea of the Nike+ though I am not a runner due to the special watch faces.
4. But the aluminum watches (silver or space grey) are not color matches to the metal bands I have or you can get. (Though Juuk makes a grey metal band that is Tag Heuer like and looks good and matches the space grey).
5. I don't wear my Link or Milanese much and primarily wear the sport and leather.

So I opted for the Space Black Stainless Steel because:

1. I can wear the black sport, probably get a Product Red sport that will look great with it, and I may get either a white or a black Apple Nike band for it too.
2. I may sell my Link and Milanese with the S0 Stainless or see if they work with the SBSS. Likely not. Probably get rid of them.

Another reason I went for the SBSS is that the screen is more edge to edge and so you won't see as much of the case. I think this will make the regular stainless case stand out less and the seamlessness of the SB case fit the watch better.

Lastly, I've heard the DLC coating on the SB holds up very well though in 3+ years I have very little in the way of marks on my Silver Stainless and I have never polished it. Maybe they are there and I just don't see them.

To me black goes great with EVERYTHING. Seriously it’s not like it has a “color tint” that would clash with anything. Just my opinion but I have the black SS and think the cocoa band looks great with it. Leather should look good too, I’d wear it

The misconception is that many bands don't pair with the space black Apple Watch, and that's false. Actually you would be surprised how many band colors look really good with the space black, and I have sport bands, link bands, leather bands, and they all pair with the black stainless. Initially I think there are those who aren't sure, that's why they don't go with the space black, but there are quite a few color combinations that work really well.
