space black vs space grey initial thoughts

I received my space black ss today, up to now I have been wearing a sports
space grey.
So far the taptic engine on the ss is much weaker feeling
the ss is much heavier and its very noticeable
the sports band is way more comfortable.
I may be returning the space black.
the space black does look nice and the sapphire screen feels a little smoother
 
man that's a bummer if you return it all us fine folks waiting to get our hands on the stainless steel space black and your going to return one. Awwww bummer. Sorry you didn't like it, it's absolutely beautiful. I'll take it off your hands
 
i will probably give it a few days. I already gifted the sports model to my nephew.
I do have a sports band on order it will be interesting to see how it feels with the sports band
anyone else have both?
 
I ordered a space gray. But my first choice is space black with sports band. I just don't have a need for a link band at the moment so i didn't want to spend the $$ (or wait until July).
 
The real dilemma now is I like the sapphire glass feel better
I put the space grey sport band on the stainless steel black and it looks great and feels great. So do I keep it and eat the cost of the ss band and just keep a sport band on it. Its a real shame Apple didn't off this without the ss band!

Especially due to the high demand right now, I'm sure you would be able to sell the link band and get most of your money back.
 
I am not sure if anyone would want the link black band without the black stainless steel watch?
 
If you try it sell just the band, please let us know!

I might end up going down that route because the cost is just so damned much but I waited so long (and still waiting) for this thing to ship and I don't want to cancel...

There might be people who bought the SG Sport watch but want a metal band

Well the yellow edition would look really good with the space black link, i remember before pre order started some people were looking to have the sg sport with the black link bracelet.

One of the folks who used the watchplate gold plating service might want a nice black link band to go with their newly golden SS watch.

wearing it a work today to see if I get used to it

After wearing the sport space grey for two weeks and from someone who never wears a watch, I am addicted and can not see myself going anywhere without the watch!
 
I keep on hearing complaints that the SS is too heavy. I assume many of these people complaining aren't watch wearers and/or just have spaghetti arms. lol
 
I actually am a weightlifting type its not really the weight its more about the comfort, I never could feel the sport model on me, the ss band is slightly uncomfortable. I have a tag heavier watch to me feels bettter. Although I never wear that one. The sports version I wanted to wear.

The weight on this watch is more noticble because you have to turn your wrist more to activate it. With a regular watch you can see teh time without turning your wrist. In addition, with all the extra features your looking at your watch more often.

That being said I wear my watch on my left wrist and my right forearm is much stronger for as it gets used more ;)

42mm? For people changing from the sport to the SS in the 42mm size it is a big difference. I have the 38mm SS with classic buckle and it is actually lighter than the 38mm aluminum w/ sport.

Or they might buy the black link and send that in to be goldplated and therefor complete the Beyonce/Karl look of getting a unique watch from Apple.

But I agree, if OP acts quickly he can offload that Link bracelet and recover a bunch of his cost.
