Space gray durability in an Apple leather case?

I’ve used the Apple leather case on my iPhone 6 and 7, but I’m wondering how well the space gray stainless steel of the XS Max will hold up in the leather case, and what kind of wear can I expect on the bottom where the phone will be exposed?

I suppose it really depends on how hard you are on it. I used an Apple silicone case on my X and it looks just fine (it was space grey as well). I went for the tan leather Apple case for my new Xs Max and I expect similar results.

The bottom of my X after using open bottom cases all year is flawless.
