Space Gray looks lighter outdoors

Thanks for posting these! The sides definitely look more slate than the matte black 7. I'm looking forward to see the 8/8+ in person this weekend.

I guess this is common sense, but I didn't know what to expect since not many reviews show the Space grey version. I wanted a black screen so this was the only choice.

Anyone else think the 8 woulda have been cooler with a stainless steel edge? Kind of like how the original mockups looked from a few weeks back

Stainless steel (like iPhone X and Apple Watch) scratch very easily.

Played around with all of the new colors and 8’s and I have to say I had this weird sensation like scratching a chalkboard between my hands feeling the glass on the back and aluminum on the sides. Weird! I kept getting a tingling sensation from the different textures. I wonder how the X will feel with it having stainless steel edges.

I'll admit - the white dongle juxtaposed with the space grey phone...it's not terribly appealing. LOL

I've been using it naked for a day now and I think it's fine. I have sweaty palms even. It attracts as much prints as the screen itself, which is not much at all.

Got space grey and really like it. In normal indoor lighting conditions it looks almost black, but outdoors more grey.

I just find it very odd that there is absolutely no consistency in the shades of grey Apple use then badge up as Space Grey. And that it was retired last year in favour of matte black then resurrected.

Maybe this has already been discussed but why are the antenna bands still present on the 8 series? Wasn't one of the main purposes of switching to a glass back to increase antenna reception?

Antenna bands are only on the side & it looks great for me.

The main reason for glass back was wireless charging.
