Chill out lol... Some of us are on our phone out and about (not in front of a computer).

But since you asked so nicely:

Seconds are EXTREMELY important at this point.

Of course, we're all speculating on what exactly matters here, when it's possible it's something we're not thinking about.

Perhaps, for example, your place in line was secured when you added the watch to your cart. In which case, confirmation email time might not make much difference.

Which is all to say, don't get yourself too wound up (pun intended) trying to figure out all the details. :)

I don't think they will keep going with only 10 seconds of every minute each day going out bc I bet after the first 5 mins they are less orders every min bc either they shipping times went up and people decided on a different model or people that were having order issues like me bc I couldn't get the App Store to add my gift card, which is a lession learned for me to just add the gift card later, I think that most orders were in the first 5 mins and once through those the time ppl ordered will go up fast on shipping just a thought

Also since this is a new product line for Apple, maybe they are letting inventory out slowly at first to see if any real world problems arise before letting the flood gates open.

I was hoping Snoop Dogg and the 420 gods would bring me luck, but no ship notification for my 42mm SG Sport yet:

Confirmation Email Time: xx.04.20
Total Cost: $420

They really are

----------

I haven't seen anything over xx.04.10 today get charged, maybe tomorrow?

I thought mine was at xx.04.24 but I looked again and it was at xx.04.14. Mine just changed to shipped about 45 minutes ago.

Do we know what time it switched over to 5/13-5/24? My order was 3:06:06EST and was in the 4-6weeks.

I've done quite a lot of research on this. The switch over time from first wave to second wave was between XX:04:40 and XX:04:50.

Read my previous post for what I believe will be your ship date based on recorded confirmation times and historical CC charge dates.

Edit: I won't make you search for it. Here it is. Your confirmation time extends past what I think is a good estimate. But I have a feeling you'll get your watch by early-May...

This is all just a theory so please don't grill me if you don't agree. Just ignore me if you don't agree. If anything, I'm just trying to make sense of the shipping times. This applies to U.S. orders only for the 42 mm space grey sport. This is based on historical tracking of when people got their confirmation and when people's credit cars have been charged for the last two days. It shows that Apple is completing 10 second increments (based on your confirmation receipt time) worth of orders each day. If you were in the six minute range and you already got charged, or if you were in the 1 minute range and you haven't been charged, then it's likely your mail server time was off.

Here's my guess of when orders will be processed.

Confirmation received
xx:03:50 to xx:04:00 Will prepare for shipping on 25-Apr
xx:04:00 to xx:04:10 Will prepare for shipping on 26-Apr
xx:04:10 to xx:04:20 Will prepare for shipping on 27-Apr
xx:04:20 to xx:04:30 Will prepare for shipping on 28-Apr
xx:04:30 to xx:04:40 Will prepare for shipping on 29-Apr
xx:04:40 to xx:04:50 Will prepare for shipping on 30-Apr
The 10 second increment fulfillment rate might not apply past this point.
xx:04:50 to xx:05:00 Will prepare for shipping on 1-May
xx:05:00 to xx:05:10 Will prepare for shipping on 2-May
xx:05:10 to xx:05:20 Will prepare for shipping on 3-May
xx:05:20 to xx:05:30 Will prepare for shipping on 4-May
xx:05:30 to xx:05:40 Will prepare for shipping on 5-May
xx:05:40 to xx:05:50 Will prepare for shipping on 6-May
xx:05:50 to xx:06:00 Will prepare for shipping on 7-May

"xx:04:40 to xx:04:50" is what I believe to be the window of time where orders went from a "4/24 - 5/8" delivery to a mid-May delivery. My guess is that the rate of online pre-orders waned off around this time and so the 10 second increment per day estimate no longer applies past this point. Folks in this confirmation time range and after came in at the tail end of pre-order craze so by 1-May Apple might be processing at a faster rate than 10 second increments per day. Maybe something more like 30-40 second increments per day.

Is this specific to SG BSB? Because if not, this is severely flawed...remember that people who order certain models even yesterday are getting shipping notifications today...

I got my confirmation email at xx:04:09 in the 4/24 - 5/8 window and have yet to see any activity. I'm in Louisville, KY where the main UPS hub is so that's a plus at least. Here's hoping for early next week.

specific to all of the following:

  • SG SPORTS ONLY
  • 42 MM ONLY
  • US ONLY

if any of the above don't apply to you, then the chart doesn't apply to you. unfortunately there's a lot of cross contamination of data between 38 mm and 42 mm sizing because people are not specifying their size when they get charged and prepared for shipment. also, the fulfillment rate will speed up because orders waned as time went on. tomorrow they might process 12 seconds worth of orders simply because there's less orders to process. the next day 15, and so on. but this is the best i can do with the minimal information i have.

I'm apparently going to be waiting a long time (email confirmation xx:08:41), but I'm wondering about the accuracy of the times using emails. I'm not sure how the times are set - is it based on when it is sent by Apple, when your server gets it, or when it gets sent to your email on your computing device? I've certainly had times when I knew something was sent to me but it didn't arrive for awhile.

Depending on how this works, someone may get an email confirmation with an earlier time, but not actually be earlier in the order Apple set.

Anyone know how these time stamps work in email for sure?
