So guys...

I really dont want to be the bearer of bad news here...

If the Apple support chat reps really do have access to accurate order information a whole lot of us are actually further back in line than we thought...

I present to you exhibit A: my timestamped confirmation email for 3:04:14 EDT

I also present to you exhibit B: an apple support chat specialist telling me my order time was more like 4:09:ss EDT!!!

Please someone tell me im an idiot and have nothing to worry about? lol

My anxiety is making me feel like every minute i get put back in the line I will have to wait another month. Whereas the rational side of myself is saying the dang watch hasn't even been out for 24 hours yet so i need to calm down...

Realistically i feel like I should be able to not be consumed by all of this, but when i feel like i have been wronged i go into mental hyper drive.

haha

tl;dr - Apple support rep informed me that I time traveled over an hour in the future to pre-order my apple watch. Please tell me he was wrong.

EDT is not the same thing as EST. And you have the 4/24-5/8 window. You have nothing to worry about.

When I called Apple last night they told me they same thing which I disputed but it's nothing to worry about I was xx:04:12 / 42 mm SG Sport Black NYC and was charged and shipped with tracking arriving Monday. I know it's not true but I wonder if my two calls yesterday did anything I doubt it but I like to think so.

Thats crazy I'm in Pa 2 seconds xx:04:10 ahead of you and still no change. 42mm SG

I just checked with Apple online and they said mine had a time of 8:36 and then added that time zones could be different. That worried me since, if the 8 is the hour, it is WAY past my actual order time (based on the email) of xx:08:41 !!!

So I asked if it was the minute and seconds and was surprised to be told that was all the info they had. Strange that they aren't told if it was minutes/seconds or hour/minutes since that makes a huge difference.

For now I'm hoping it is minutes/seconds since it would be 5 seconds prior to my email time. Otherwise my order was screwed!

Yes... That would be correct...I got email of 03:04:22 but apple has 04:18pdt

Maybe that later time Apple shows is when your order went from "Being Received" to "Processing Items"

Ok tried to get a time stamp on the exact time I placed my order through the Apple Chat on their site and they just gave me my delivery date nothing more. Must not of gotten the right person for that info.

Okay, I could be wrong but I believe the time is included in your original order confirmation email.

EDT = Eastern Daylight Time (UTC-4)
EST = Eastern Standard Time (UTC-5)

The vast majority of the people I have read on here are saying EST even though they very clearly mean EDT, since Daylight Savings Time is currently in effect, and was at the time of the preorder. People doing the same thing with Pacific and Central. I was up for a bit before preorders started, so I know for a fact they started at 3:01 EDT, not 3:01 EST. But I honestly don't think most people even realize Daylight Savings Time changes the time zone abbreviation. Plus, 3:00 EST is 4:00 EDT, not the other way around.

Your point, however, is valid. Quoted poster is in the "magic window," which it certainly would not have been had Apple received it after 4:00 EDT. Therefore, all is well. :)

"Gotten" is not a word. Sorry, but poor grammar hurts my ears. :roll eyes:

Oh, yes I've been guilty of typos and appreciate it when others point out the error(s).

It is but not in the format that shows the seconds. Plus others have been able to get exact times from apple through the chat. I haven't.

Please disregard the bad grammar.

Look at the header info in the email from apple...

Or just forward the email to someone (yourself) and you should see the full timestamp.

Thanks found it going directly to yahoo mail and viewing the full header info though it has Fri, 10 Apr 2015 07:08:11 it really means it was 03:08:11 EST. So when they get to the 08:00 I'll be close to the front just depends what day that'll be :(

42mm SG Aluminum Apple Watches have sold for $1000.00 or more on eBay today for those that had on hand. Have to admit that I probably wouldn't sell one for that much if I received mine today since it could mean waiting until June.

What are the 38mm going for? I bet they're even more constrained

Wow !! My card is just charged for 42mm & 38mm Space Gray Watches, ordered at 3:06:05 & 3:07:01, Still no status change on Apple Website

Long time thread reader. First time poster.

I'm a 42SG 03:04:26 and still processing. I got the time by hitting forward on the email. It states the time right there. However if I view the headers on the email I get..

Apr 2015 07:04:26 +0000 (GMT) <---Never seen this time stamp on anyone's post.

My date is 4/24-5/8. Indianapolis
