Get over yourself
Keep in mind Apple is dealing with estimated 2.3M orders with dozen of SKUs when the most popular smartwatch previously sold slightly over 1M in the last year...it's fair to assume Apple was conservative with the inventory build for this launch (RIGHTFULLY SO) when every indication from analysts and market surveys said this segment was still in its infancy with little interest.
Waiting on my 42MM SS Link I ordered at 3:03AM ET with a 4-6 week window patiently. It would be nice to see it come early, but will never accuse Apple of bad business practices when I knew what I was getting into from the second I ordered.

They did. They set inventory expectations with the delivery windows listed in the store prior to your purchase.
When people rearrange their lives to place an order on an item that won't even be available for two weeks, and get out of bed, disturbing their significant other, and refresh their collective devices to get the order in within the first several minutes, they don't expect to have to wait an additional 6 weeks for their $400 to $1500 product.
I ordered my 6+ at 6 minutes after the preorder, got a 4-6 week window, but it still showed up on launch day. I'm not alone with that experience. Apple set our expectations with previous launches. People have a right to be angry.
Getting up at midnight isn't as Heroic as getting up at 3 am, as a lot of us did.

I've been watching this post for some time and while generally not complain-y, I tend to agree. I'm in the 12:05 group (and still "processing") and I think some expectation about inventory and fulfillment should have been given by Apple prior to launch if certain models were in shorter supply.
