Well, I'm in Chicago, which isn't TOO far from Lousiville, so I'm hoping for the best.
I'm in Boston, the morning flight leaves Louisville at about 4:15am and arrives about 6:00am, plenty of time to get on a truck for delivery.
I cancelled my online order and picked up my 42mm SGS with black band at the Apple Store today. Mine came with 1.0. My daughter's 38mm sport with white band came with 1.01.
Has anyone gotten this?

I can't believe all of us waiting and basically they sent them to the stores for walk-in customers.

You waited 2 months to order and got yours in just before they went to stores. Bad timing.

Same thing happened to my order, didn't impact the delivery date. Even though it sat in that status for almost 24 hours. Shipped 6/15 had a estimate delivery of 6/17, and got it at 10 am this morning.
I decided to pick one up at the Apple Store yesterday instead of waiting until Friday. It took me less than five minutes in the store. When I receive my shipment on Friday, I'll just return it for a refund.
I got the 42mm SGS and it came with OS 1.0. So far, I like this thing, but there is a lot to learn and get used to. I think OS 2.0 will make a big difference.

Same here. I honestly didn't expect them to be in stock!
The Apple employee even suggested I do exactly what you did. I told him I have one coming on Friday and he said just get it now, and return my unopened one. Transaction took less than 5 minutes. A lot of stores here in southern CA have plenty of Sport models. Just low stock of Stainless Steel.
Although kinda made me wonder if they were holding back for online orders to send to stores instead. They seemed to have plenty for walk ins and reservation customers. At least 5 to 10 people were buying them when I was in store for around 10 min last night.
Oh, and the new Apple Watch "bag" is nice too. Fits the longer box.
On 6/10 I ordered a 42mm SGS. This morning I cancelled the order and chose to pick on up at the store (90 miles away!). Did anyone else have to actually call and talk to a person? The apple rep on the phone actually tried to dissuade me from canceling the order, hinting that I might not be able to get one in-store even though I had one reserved. It made me nervous the whole drive......
i'm not in a first wave country and use a mail forwarding service, reservation is not possible without local phone number
STINKS! Wow, what is with them?! The "mechanical failure" UPS gave me Monday morning from Louisville was deflating, and something I never saw before. It still arrived that day out of the blue thankfully. But this message basically saying "Sorry we forgot about order, it's delayed." That would drive me mental! Hope you got it today.UPS sucks...
Nope, they screwed up again on Saturday (three separate UPS reps claimed it was out for Saturday delivery, yet no delivery attempt was made), and then screwed it up even more on Monday. I finally got it Monday night at 9 PM.
