If the PVD was as tough as the coating on the watch, I expect it would have been untouched by that fall. The watch has certainly been a lot more durable than that.
Pretty sure Apple's charging the same price these days. (maybe there was a delta with the Series 0)The DLC coating on the space black watch makes it more expensive than the silver watch. Would everyone have paid more for that or gone with silver?
I saw both X's on display and had a hard time deciding based on looks alone (both look great).
In the end, I voted for silver because it matches my watch. Of course, it's in an Apple leather case like the majority in this thread. The leather case has such a high end look and feel that it's the only thing (in my opinion) worthy of covering such a good looking iPhone.

Exactly. I have been using Apple's leather case since the iPhone 5s era.The DLC coating on the space black watch makes it more expensive than the silver watch. Would everyone have paid more for that or gone with silver?

Yeah, I think Apple still charges more for the bands as the PVD process slows down the production for the bands - likely more so than the watch bodies (hence why they're the same price). My bad. I only compared the Milanese Loop versions. For some reason, they charge more for Space Black if you get that band.
[Edit] And yes, the Series 0 SB only came with the link bracelet, but it cost more than the SS with link bracelet.
Not sure why so many posts with cases saying they are perfect still. Well obviously. You have the phone covered up

Mine is not in a case and it is perfect. Not a scratch. Not sure why so many posts with cases saying they are perfect still. Well obviously. You have the phone covered up
Mine has been in an Apple leather case since it came out of the box but the exposed portion on the bottom is flawless.
Mine’s perfect. Not a scratch or blemish. Bought the phone last November. It’s usually been in a case, but not always. I’ve dropped the phone a few times from a height of 3 or 4 feet (in a case, thankfully) and the phone remains in perfect, like-new condition.I like the look of the SG X much better than the silver but I’m wondering how the PVD coating will hold up long term. What’s your experience been so far? Does it scratch easily or does it seem durable?
Mine is in the silicone Apple case since purchase....case and even the exposed stainless steel band are flawless.
