Loving this beast, just realized there is a huge blob on the back around the apple logo and a few small scratches, not sure what the blob could be. 🤦♂️🥺 going back to apple for a replacement. Anyone else have this issue with their space grey unit.

iPad Pro Space grey 12.9” 2021 iPad blob and scratches on the back, anyone else have this issue?

Nope, tried rubbing it off, nothing is happening, wonder if that blob is the clear or paint hasn’t been applied properly
If only that was the case 😂 tired everything not coming off.I'm sure that region is lighter because it's cleaner.
Do you mean you tried to clean the metal around the blob? What I understand from your comment is consistent with my suspicion.
No, I wiped down the back of the whole iPad, changed nothing, looks like a painting or clear error during manufacturing.
My 2018 space grey was spotless when i traded it in to apple 🥺
Could be onto something there 🤔 oh well these things happen, spoke to the apple store I purchased it from, great customer service over the phone, told me bring back the iPad for a new replacement.
Gotta love the quick, accommodating customer service from Apple.
It looks like where a sticker to protect the logo during manufacturing was removed. The shape is too perfect.

Absolutely. 🙃 only had one issue with the manger back in the days for my 5s, acting like a up himself brat, went back the next day, got someone else, changed the phone over, out of there in 10m.
Yep, sent the photo to a friend, he couldn’t stop laughing 🤦♂️😂 wasn’t very pleased with him, then I saw the funny side of it as well 🙄😂
That’s the CNC seal which creates a seal to mill out the Apple logo, and the two dots are maybe cooling oil/liquid mixture that dripped but we’re allowed to sit too long and we’re absorbed since it wasn’t washed or wiped away fast enough.

Since you are using the cover and don’t see it unless you take it off the case, you sure you want to gamble a perfect screen for a blemish free backing but possible bloom/shadow issue? Just kidding . I just checked my silver, unless my eyes are going bad, I cannot see anything yet. Make sure when you take it back, that you can open and view the new one in store to make sure it is as perfect as your current screen. Good luck.

I use mine with and without a case, bit hard to un see it now and I’ll always know it’s there now, the whole back doesn’t look as clean as my previous 2018 space grey model.Since you are using the cover and don’t see it unless you take it off the case, you sure you want to gamble a perfect screen for a blemish free backing but possible bloom/shadow issue? Just kidding
I’ll definitely be checking the whole iPad before leaving the store, might even transfer the data over while I’m there 🤔😂

Replacement iPad is flawless so far, the back looks brand new compared to the old one, first one I had the screen was filthy when I unwrapped the plastic, new one is spotless, don’t know if I’m seeing things, the screen seems to have more contrast.
Safari is definitely more snappier 😂 (JOKING)
All good for stock, first it was showing him there was no space grey models left, then the first person who saw me, came back over to help him put the order though, said it’s showing him they have space grey in stock, almost walked out with a silver model instead lol, apart from that little blunder, lovely customer service as always, in and out in 5 minutes.
