After updating to Monterey 12.6, the spacebar no longer wants to work as a pause key for Music and Youtube.

I've poked around elsewhere online, and all suggestions, including checking/unchecking the Keyboard configuration in System Preferences haven't worked for me. Anyone may have any suggestion?

TIA!

Heh every now and then the space bar in Apple Music seems to want to act as a 'restart' button here. Not sure when that started but its been going on for awhile in Monterey now. Most days it works as it should, but now and then I'll go to stop a song (usually when the misses is trying to tell me something important) and instead of stopping, it just restarts the track. Keeps doing that until I close the app and restart.

Thank you for the suggestions.

Interesting that the upgrading on the internal SSD made the spacebar nonfunctioning as pause key. (Just assigned a fn key as pause in its place.) But upgrading the OS on an external SSD kept the spacebar as pause key intact. Go figure.

Thank you for this! I was so annoyed, this simple solution didn't occur to me - glad I saw your post!
