I never really bothered using SPACES before - thought it was kinda pointless really.

Then the other day I messed around with it - and now I get it :D It really is a nice feature!

The only thing that worries me, is whether it is a huge resource hog ? Activity Monitor doesnt really show how much cpu it takes...

Any words on this? Is it a major hog?

for all intents and purposes since the point of spaces is to utilize various programs running all at once in a manageable way, then yes it is a cpu/ram hog.

do your own comparison

Why not just make a note of the total % Idle with Spaces running, then disable it and see if that makes a difference?
